A beautiful blue eyed boy! In Tsunami’s first year of breeding we have some stunning foals with very correct conformation. Tsunami himself is very well achieved being out of a dam who is a Full Sister to ARKO III. He has endless results at GP level and is a winner at CSI-3*W level. The dam of Portofino (pictured) is a proven black type mare with fantastic results at 1.60m level. She was out of a Landgraf I mare by Quantum and has produced us a stunning colt as well as being a fantastic mother.

We were delighted to put our first Old Chap Tame foal on the ground at Al Shira’aa Stables. Old Chap Tame needs no introduction, famously known for his career with Eugiene Angot & Edwina Tops Alexander before being sold to KSA. This stunning chestnut filly out of one of our very top mares Larga, a careful and athletic 9yo that started her career with Janika Sprunger before our team rider Abdulla Al Marri took the reins and produced her up to 1.40m. Larga’s siblings show great quality with a majority jumping at a high level. This is easily done when the bloodlines consist of the likes of Heartbreaker, Carthago, Nimmerdor, Ramiro Z and many other top sires. This first foal out of Larga shows a sweet character and quality in her build, we look forward to seeing her develop and mature.

Al Shira’aa Farms based in the UK were delighted to get on board and help a wonderful cause during the COVID-19 Pandemic. A fantastic charity created by Nina Barbour by pulling together all equestrian athletes, teams, supporters, grooms, sports people, staff and many more to help those fighting on the front line during this time. Al Shira’aa Farms were delighted to donate 2 straws of frozen semen from our Worlds Silver Medalist Chacco Bay (2014 stallion by Chaccato x Heops) which helped with the fundraising. Chacco’s nomination made £1,200 which we were really proud to achieve, and congratulate Goldie Morgan on her purchase and wish her the best for the breeding season. The charity raised just over £250,000 from the entire equestrian community. We as a team are extremely proud to be associated with this charity and a fantastic bunch of sporting personnel.

Performance – In 2019 Chacco Bay was silver medallist at the World Breeding Champions in Lanaken with rider Michael Pender where he showed off his excellent sporting potential.
In 2020 Chacco Bay was champion 6yo at Bolesworth Young Horse Championships.
In 2021 as a 7yo he jumped clear in the CSI2* Chepstow Grand Prix

Chacco Blue currently has around 30 licensed sons. Damsire Stakkato is two-time German Champion and Hannover’s most significant jumping sire of the last two decades.
Damline- The damline has produced numerous sporting stars in the jumping world including Jackie Brown 4 who competed internationally up 1.60m, Diagonal 4, and Locadaur.

Al Shira’aa to be headline sponsors to the Bolesworth Young Horse Championships 2020.
Following the huge success of the inaugural event, the new partnership will centre on Al Shira’aa being the title sponsor for the 2020 British Young Horse Championships at Bolesworth.
We are proud to have set up their own breeding programme based in the South of England, and are excited to align this venture to support young horse development in the United Kingdom.
As a breeder, we focus on breeding elite foals out of our home team mares and stallions, many of whom have competed themselves up to CSI 5* 1.60m level and have even collected from our reserve champion, silver medalist Chacco Bay 5yo stallion by Chaccato x Heops.
The five-day young horse showcase runs from August 19 – 23 2020 in the stunning grounds of Bolesworth Castle, home of the Equerry Bolesworth International Horse Show and will feature 4, 5, 6 & 7 yo classes incorporating the World Breeding Jumping Championship Qualifiers for 2020. This year, after landing a silver medal in the 5yo Championship at the World Championship final at Lanaken with our exciting prospect Chacco Bay, we will be bringing a strong team to Bolesworth in 2020 to build on this success with our young ones and home breds.

As the hosts of the Al Shira’aa Horse Show in Abu Dhabi, forms part of a longer UAE tour and runs over 3 weeks starting on January 9th with a CSI 3*, and finishing on a high with a CSI 4* (22nd – 25th January).
